Mixed Media Collage

I've been playing with polymer clay for years, making small frames and filling them with teeny prints of my paintings for small artful holiday gifts. Last winter I made a few with colored clay and became enamoured of the consistency, the vibrancy of color, and the unique possibilites of clay, and that I can glue, cut, stamp, paint the clay and cut it up into collage pieces for a painting. Recently I have discovered millefiori canes, and now I am creating wonky flowers and patterns that can be repeated over and over!! What fun.

A few years later...

and I am having my first all mixed media collage show! Here are a few of the pieces I will have at Best of the Northwest, Seattle. Non 18, 19, and 20th.
